Designing the School Management App highlighted the importance of tailoring functionalities to meet the specific needs of each user group. The use cases provided clarity on how students, teachers, administrators, guardians, and the Ministry of Education would interact with the system, ensuring their goals were met efficiently.
Breaking down teacher roles into Subject Teachers and Form/Class Teachers helped define clear permission levels, streamlined workflows, and minimized the risk of conflicting or duplicated data. For guardians, the focus on transparent, accessible school records emphasized the importance of keeping them actively involved in their child’s learning journey.
The Ministry of Education view, though not included in the current high-fidelity portfolio, was designed to give policymakers a unified platform for tracking educational performance across schools. This would enable them to monitor attendance rates, curriculum compliance, teacher development, and assessment standards—helping ensure quality and consistency in education across the board.
